Gluten free Moussaka recipe. Egplant, meat and cheese caserole.


 
Gluten free Moussaka recipe
Ingredients:


  • 2 cups parmesan cheese
  • 1 cup mozzarella cheese
  1. In a hot pan, turn oil, and fry the eggplant until just brown. As you finish them, lay them in the bottom of a 9X13 pan, until the bottom is covered. put the rest on a plate.
  2. Brown the meat. then add the seasonings, tomato sauce, "wine". Simmer a little to get the flavors in. Remove from heat, and stir in the egg. Spread over the eggplant in the 9X13.
  3. Sprinkle about 1/2 of each cheese as the next layer.
  4. Layer with the rest of eggplant
  5. Layer the rest of cheese.
  6. Make the "Béchamel" sauce. Melt butter, mix into flour. Add to the milk, over low heat. Simmer until thick.
  7. Bake at 350 for about an hour.
Story: I have watched "my big fat Greek wedding like 100 times. And in it she takes "mousse kaka" to school for lunch. So when it came up in a list of "easy eggplant recipes" I jumped on it. And we are not disappointed. Much better reviews then my eggplant parmesan.
