I made more monogrammed bib and burbcloth set for my best friend's baby.
Hopefully I can make one for my baby, before he is too old.

Using the recipe on the box, my sister made the "short cakes"
as you can see, short is the operative word.
Taste and texture were not too bad...

Ban on Homemade lunches?!?!

What is the world cumming to?

http://news.yahoo.com/s/yblog_thelookout/20110411/us_yblog_thelookout/chicago-school-bans-homemade-lunches-the-latest-in-national-food-fight

I could see that some parents, might send the kid to school with a soda, and some chips, calling that a lunch, but I bet others actually pack their child a lunch, with better nutrition then the schools provide.
It's throwing the baby out with the bath water...I did notice that kids with alergies are still allowed to bring food.

red robbin gf menue translated

So a lot of places have started having GF menus. Some it is a full menu, others have a page of alterations. Red Robbin does the latter. They give you a page or two of alterations you can make to particular items in an effort to make them GF. An example would be " fries; order no salt" but in some cases the items it suggests you alter make the particular menu selection a waste of time.
So since we frequent two of our local ones, I have taken the liberty of applying there GF alteration suggestions directly to the menu.
That way with a quick glance I can see what to order and what not to order.
And I thought I woulds share.

None

Burgers or chicken: Be sure to order no seasoning salt on the meat and the Fries

Only one Entree item: a Tex-Mex grilled chicken platter
And two kids options: again, order with no seasoning on the fries or the meat.
